FAQ
1.Why does silver jewelry turn black?
This blackening is called silver oxidation or tarnishing. No metal in the world can resist oxygen. As long as there is oxygen, silver will oxidise. Silver and sulphur ions (from the air) have a great affinity for each other and when they are together, they produce a chemical reaction. The result is silver sulphide which is a grey-black deposit formed on the surface of silver. Silver sulphide, produced by long-term oxidation, increases, turning white silver jewelry black.
2.How to solve the oxidation phenomenon?
Take a piece of aluminium foil and lay it at the bottom of a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of sodium bicarbonate. Then add half cup of boiling water and half cup of vinegar. Put your silver jewelry in the bowl making sure that it touches the aluminium foil. Take it out after 5 minutes and use a microfibre cloth to dry the jewelry.

3.How to maintain silver jewelry?
In order to maintain the silver jewelry, we need to pay attention to the following points:
(1) The best way to maintain silver jewelry is to wear it every day. The grease of human body will make silver jewelry produce natural and warm lustre.
(2) Avoid sticking with hair gel, perfume and skin care products, which will cause the lustre to weaken.
(3) Avoid contact with chemicals, hot springs or seawater.
(4) When sleeping, take it off and don't wear it. When washing clothes and bathing, take it off to avoid encountering alkaline substances.
(5) Do not wear jewelry when exercising. Sweat contains sulphur. Silver jewelry will react chemically and turn black.
(6) Avoid putting multiple jewelry together in order to avoid collision and scratch and affect texture.
(7) When not in use, silver jewelry can be sealed in a bag and preserved so as to avoid contact with air.
